And how can I tell for certain that a razor is too worn out? Sorry, I'm a complete newbie to shaving so I know that's a dumb question but that's what I got. How long does it take HB triple blades to wear out?

Man usually I use mine 3-4 shaves. After that they seem to drag. People say the HB trips last a while though.. Try pouring alcohol over the blades after you use them. They say it helps stay sharp.

Try drying your blades and pouring a little alcohol over them. Both seem to help a little. I keep a little soft bristle brush to clean out between the blades.

Son..Son...Son....its like this..( almost like teaching my own son here at home things) LOL.
I shave in the shower. The blades should clean easily with the pressure of the water comign out of the shower head. Just hold the blade where the water will flow THRU the blades and it should rinse out easily. My experience with the headblade blades...which some found it hard to believe...but I had mine on there for a good 5-6 weeks. I really dont remember I will have to go back in some old post and see...but they lasted me a good long while. I shave everday. Once a blade starts to go dull you will notice it wont shave all the hairs in one pass...you will fill ridges in your hair where places on the blade has went dull. Most usually I get anywhere from 8 -10 shaves out of a regular blade. Good Luck..

SOK-
I ust the HB with triples and I get about a week from a blade. Like Tim, I shave in the shower and the blades come clean just by rinsing, as Tim said.

I'll chime in again praising the alcohol.

I'm still getting 16 good shaves by drying the blades and pouring a cap full of rubbing alcohol over them. Fusion and generic atra plus.

Damn. 16 shaves!?!? That's crazy. So you dry the blades before putting the alcohol on? I don't get it...Why? I mean, you're gonna pour the alcohol on it anyway.

SOK, I've started doing the same thing with my blades and I'll admit it did seems odd to dry them only to pour liquid on them. I think the water degrades the blades where as the alcohol doesn't, but actully helps preserve them and keeps them from oxidizing.

Dry 'em out, as in pat them on a towel a few times, to get the excess water off, then put the alcohol on them to really drive the water away. Is it necessary? I don't know, but its working for me.
