Depends what you mean by "beat". I know we have a lot of guys here on SBG that like the cold, but I'm not one of them...bring on spring.

Saturday the high was 48 at midnight. It got colder and colder then it snowed all afternoon. We had 1" here in Griffin, which doesn't sound like a lot for all my Northern Sly Friends. It was a big deal here though. I'll try to post some pics.
Sunday, it never got above 30.

It's a balmy 19 degrees F in OKC. But don't worry when that Oklahoma wind comes whippin' down the plain you'll cool right off!

here at 5:30pm it is about 28C(83F). Lots of sunshine and not a cloud in the sky.
Australia Day is celebrated on the 27th so hopefully the weather will be nice.
As Australia is still technically under the British Commonwealth(Queen Elizabeth II is their head of state), they dont have an Independence Day to celebrate so Australia Day is where everyone celebrates their Australian-ness.
Drinking,BBQ, and backyard Cricket are high on the lists of activities.
