Time for a manhood check?
Not accusing ncblue of this....
It's just been a while since I "whipped" these out...and the "manhood check" thang was irrisistable.

ncblue, Just hang in there.
Don't listen to some of these guys. They're still recovering from their drunken New Year's Eve stupor. It's the mean spirits that are doing the talkin'.
Chalk this up to change. No one has an easy time adjusting to change.
You opted for a change in your appearance and that's a good thing. Be cool about this and everything will go your way.

Ben
I highly doubt her love for you is skin deep, so just stand firm and things should work themselves out.
She will come around....they all end up coming back. Stand firm......its not what you look like that should determine her love for you.....its your personality. So Stand firm bro...dont back down.

Hey NC, welcome from another NC member.
I'm just curious, how can she cut you off without cutting herself off in the process?

Hang in there bro.
Hey, let us know what's going on Blue. A lot of us have more support outside the home than at home. My wife's latest, "You've lost your looks and all your dignity!" That was after going to dinner w/ friends a couple of Martini's, wine and after dinner drinks. What really set her off I think was the two couples we went w/ all liked the look, and one was an artist who my wife admires. She went on about the great headshape--actually a subject I worried about--etc. So, my wife's mourning a memory of yesterday, and I won't go there, I'm aimed straight at the future, and for me it's a Sly one. She will ultimately get on the train, there isn't any other transportation to the future.

Love that line!
Blue, I feel for you, man. Been there, done that; still dealing with it since I first tried being sly in '06. It's an individual thing between you and her; part of that relationship thing.
My wife has a thing against me being bald. Before the first time I shaved, I started the MPB thing and was messing around with about a #2 on top and close on the rest. My wife threaten with the big "D" (divorce) if I didn't grow some hair back.
Finally I blinked (lost the staring contest) and grew it out to about a #1 and have slowly gone shorter.
Advancing MPB makes me want to go sly but she still insists on having a shadow of hair, which is the sides and back at this point. Ironically, most everyone thinks of me as bald and don't notice what hair I have (except the other sly ones).
If it becomes a huge stumbling block, you need figure out how important your happiness is and hers, and let her know your thoughts- something guys don't usually do very well.
nc, you R-O-C-K the SLY! Hold firm and be persistant. Wifie's just testing you. Don't give in to her threats.
Sounds like my wife last year. At first she hated my shaved head. But with time she has come around and wouldn't like me any other way.

Hey Tyro,
I thing your wife looks a bit like Angelika Houston. Anyone else ever mention that?
John
NCBUE-
Hang in there Dude......change isn't easy for most people (your wife in this case). Remind her that she didn't marry you for your hair and that you're still the same great guy. Tell her that it makes you feel good, that it makes you look and feel younger, and that you feel it helps your self esteem to feel so good about your new look. Also, let her know all the positive comments you get from people about how great the look is on you.
