Ok, you guys basically had me talked into it until I read the shaving regimen post. Man what a lot of work!
I admit I like the look but the idea of an extra 15-20 for reduced skin puffiness, 15 for the shave and all the extra products, etc. just doesn't thrill me.
I'm spoiled by the once per week or every 2 at the most pulling out the clippers and buzzing it down. A bar of ivory does the cleaning, a brush and soap block covers the face shaving and I'm out the door. I'm not knocking what you do, trust me I take my hat off to you guys for doing all the work every day. I just HATE morning and cant imagine 30 minutes more of prep time.
Maybe I should just go to no guard on the clippers and leave it at that. Isn't there an easier way to this?? Of course I understand about shaving before you go out on the town but it seems alot of work to just prep for work each day.
I was going to attach a mug shot but I can't get the dang thing to compress small enough to attach here.

man my shaving regime might take 10 minutes, 15 if I'm lazy. And that is a lot less time than it takes to condition and shampoo hair, then dry and style it.

It's really not a lot of work. Takes me about 10 minutes to lather up and shave my dome each morning. I exfoliate maybe once a week. Should probably do it twice a week but I don't always remember, or when I do, I don't always have time. It's a little time consuming in the beginning but once you get the hang of it, it isn't too bad. I don't think any of us would be shaving daily if it was that much work.

Not a lot of work, at all. The extra time shaving is more than made up for by the time saved messin around with the hair.

It really doesn't take long at all and if you can deal with the velcro you could go every other day, it not gonna happen on my head, but if it works for you then roll with it.

Don't let the routines scare you. It sounds like a lot, but like the other guys said, it only takes about 10 min. It used to take me longer with clippers when you add in the time it takes to clean all the hairs off the floor and counter.

You don't need 30 minutes of prep time. Rinse head, takes a minute. Put on shaving gel/cream, let sit for a couple minutes=5 min total at that point.
Then you shave, which takes 5-15 minutes depending on how particular you are and how stubborn your stubble is that day, so max it should take you 15-20 minutes to do the whole process.

Yeah this is also one of my concerns for when I start. I'm also not a morning person. But, I'm working on that now. Learning to love the mornings so I can take care of shaving with due time.
9:00 classes five days a week help. I suppose,
Good luck though Satellite!

404, I am showered, shaved and out the door in 30 to 40 minutes from the time I slam down on my loud ass alarm clock. I am definately not a morning person either. I am a shower shaver instead of a sink shaver, so that cuts my time alot. You have to get the routine that suits you, but first you have to try one! You have nothing to lose...except the hair, plus you can at least say you gave it a try.

Shower shaving does cut down on the time, at least for me. Also, if mornings are an issue, you can shave the night before. The few times that I have done that, I got very good results and found my head still very smooth in the morning. So there's another option.

On top of my normal shower and face shave routine it takes me no more than an additional 5 minutes to leave the house slick and smooth.

Once you get the routine down, it's not that bad and as others have said, it's about the same time (maybe a bit less for others) you spent dealing with hair. Shaving my dome takes me no more than 5 minutes, but the benefits last all day!

I have to agree there. I shave in the shower almost exclusively and it I haven't noticed any real time difference from doing the shampoo/conditioner thing to the head/face/neck shave thing.
I work nights (3pm- 2:30am) and I personally find shaving at night to be best for me and my schedule. I'm pretty sluggish and clumsy first thing in the morning, but hot shower and shave before bed feels nice. A freshly shaved head feels nice on the pillow and when I get up, I just splash some water on the dome, slap on some HeadLube and start my day.

Im the same way as Champ....shower shaver here. Takes me a total of about 20 minutes for a complete shower and shave. I can be ready for work and walkin out the door in 30 minutes....so its really not a big deal. I would spend more time washing my hair and drying.
