Well, it was one year ago today that I became a member of the SBG website. Although I did not officially go sly until Jan. 1, 2007, I spent a lot of time on this site prior to the first shave asking questions about shaving, reactions from others, what to expect, what not to expect. Ya know what, everything was dead on! Along the way, I've met some awesome guys (and gals) that I look forward to staying in touch with for a long, long time.
So, if you're considering shaving your dome and are uncertain of it, give the advice from the SBG members some serious consideration. It's a liberating feeling to shave your dome, especially if you are suffering from MPB as I was. Plus, if you have any type of scalp condition (for me, sebhorreic dermititis), you likely will find complete relief from the itching & flaking by shaving the head (numerous members have experienced the same thing).
SLY FOR LIFE!

Yep! I'll second all that. November 8 was my 1 year anniv. of joining SBG.
Never figured I'd meet such a solid buncha folks.
Also, it's pretty "telling" what one of our members, BaldBen, found out regarding head-shaving and jury duty.
Lawyers tend to "weed out" head shavers from a jury "because they tend to be free and independent thinkers and cannot be easily led around by an attorney's argument."
This is a HUGE compliment ! (click below).

Congratulations, Schro. Took me a few (OK, about 6) months to get off the fence with the encouragement and advice of some supportive SBGs, too. Should have listened sooner. I chose the slower route, going shorter and shorter.
My initial concerns and anxiety were overblown and really, it turned out to be a nonevent to others. It really is a liberating and empowering thing to do.
Congrats Schro. Glad you're a member and hang out with the rest of the SBG's, even if you are a Raider's fan.
