• I heard there is some nasty stuff going around this year.  The flu shot did me in.  And they say you can't get sick getting the flu shot.  Yeah right!

• b_freak.....it sounds like u need some bedrest, plenty of fluids, and decongestant.  take some nyquil 2nite 2 get some relief and 2 promote the bedrest.  if you're having some nasal stuffiness....try a nasal spray (AFRIN)  or apply some vick's vapor rub under your nose.  if U  R  still feeling like crap after 4-5 days then C a doctor because u might need some oral antibiotics.  anyways..... hope u feel better and let me know if my suggestions work.  i'll send the bill after the holidays.

  The one time I took it ... I had the flu twice.  The rest of the season was a non-stop cold.  AMEN Tyler

  I have this argument every year at work when I decline the free flu shot that is offered to all employees.  I had a good long run of several years without ever getting sick.  I did get the flu last year and got a lot of "I told you so's" but both my parents also came down with the same bug at the same time I did and they both had the flu shot.   My Dad just got another flu shot about a month ago and his arm still hurts where they jabbed him.

• I usually get a flu shot every year.  Usually it helps and I rarely get the flu.  OK, I can just feel it comin on now that I've said that....

• They always say yer dont get flu from the flu shot - yeah, right!  I've known a few bod's get flu after they've had it. 
  
  Also, a lot of flu and colds seem to come about after the jabs have been given out: reckon those who get the jab pass on their 'slight symptoms' to all of us that don't have the jab and we get the flu and colds for real!
  
  I'm - cough - cough - splutter $%*&!! suffering at the moment too.

  I've had colds that last 24 hours before with runny nose, but nothing like the
  full fledge flu.  Thank GOD!  When my wife and kids get the flu they look so
  miserable.

• The plethura of OTC drugs are make me nice and retarded. Gotta love Nyquil trippin  I don't think the stuff cures ya, but at least it makes you too dopey to care. I know too many people that got straight up laid out by them damn flu shots. I'll stick with my OJ and arsenal of vitamins and just tough it out.

  Thanks for the concern W.H. , I just felt like whining a little. I'll kick my wife's butt at Monopoly tonight so I can russle up the funds to pay your Dr.'s consultation.

• I'm like Hawk, never had a flu shot and I've never had the flu, same with the Lovely Mrs. Schro, same with both of our kids (and they're surrounded by germ factories children at school, soccer, etc.).

  I have never had a flu shot either and I don't get sick like most people do I get it for a day then I'm good after that. I just got through mine for this year.

• I put back cognac and Buckley's shots when I feel a cold coming on, I get sick maybe once a year.
