Hey guys, another sly guy here. Probably one of the youngest too. I'm 21 and I shave my head slick.
Just a little bit about me. I started noticing my hair loss when I was 19, when I noticed hair around the temple areas of my head was falling out. I knew long before I started balding that shaving my head was the only option if I started losing my hair. Even though I knew this I was still pretty bummed out about the whole thing when it started happening to me. I was never expecting it this early in my life.
The hardest part was what the girls would think. I know older women are more understanding about guys having to shave their heads. But girls around my age (18-22) are less understanding. But even though I get a few odd looks from girls here or there most of the girls I meet and work with like it. It's all in how you carry yourself.
I am greatful that I understood at an early age that shaving my head bald was the best way to combat MPB and that we live in a period where sly heads are finally becoming socially acceptable. Also I had buzz cuts for most of my life. So that helped to make the head shaving process easier to deal with. The thought of me having the whole horseshoe look in my early 20's is just unacceptable.
I'm currently in college taking java programming and I've taken comfort in the fact that there's lot of other students in their early 20's who are also experiencing MPB. Although other than myself I've only noticed 2 or 3 other guys with theirs head shaved completely bald. Although I must admit I sorta enjoy it like that. Students these days are all about being flashy and standing out from the rest. I believe my sly head gives me that edge.
Theres a few thing I want to accomplish now that I'm sly.
1. Bulk up
I'm a little bit on the skinny side and I know I'd look better if I packed on some muscle. Although I'm not looking to go bodybuilder big. I just want to get the ripped, athletic look.
2. Tan
I'm not talking about a deep, dark tan. But I'm pretty pasty and would like to get some color on my skin and head. I've been on the fence longer about going to a tanning salon than I was about shaving my head completely bald.
I just feel that getting in shape and losing my pale skin would help to make me feel a little more comfortable about my shaved head.
Anyways when I get a chance I'll try and post a pic and hopefully i'll still be posting on this board a month from now.

Welcome Diesel.
I went through the same thing at a young age (around 23) and like you, I shaved and never looked back.
Way to go!

Welcome bro....
Like i said to another young newbie to the site....
Read what **Sticks*** and ChicoD have written since they've been here...
they were young and was unsure...it was one of the best things they have done in their lives...and they're gettin' a ton more action now that they are slick bald...
read bro and stick with it...only a girl that digs a bald head, is the only girl that will be cool...
and they ARE out there!

Welcome Diesel ! You've saved yourself a lot of unnecessary angst by confronting your problem head-on. I hope that other young MPB guys who come across this site see your post and use your maturity as an inspiration. It can take a lot of courage to do what you have done. Post up and often; we look forward to getting to know you better.
