I was unable to find a current pic, but since his character Frank Tripp got demoted from Detective, he has been SLY. I would say it is a definite improvement over his horseshoe.

I'm not real familiar with police ranks but iI think that a full shift sargeant is a promotion from detective. I think.

It's possible Tom. I thought he had been demoted due to an incident when he accidentally shot another officer.

We must be on the same wave length. I hadn't watched any of the new episodes this fall until this past Monday. He looks way better shaved. I almost posted last night about him. I did find 1 picture where he was sly, but it wasn't that great, so I decided not to post. Maybe I should try to locate it again. It's amazing the transformation when you go from horseshoe to sly. -

Glad to see that he let go of the "horseshoe" and amazed that he has so little shadow....though some of that may be the "magic" of TV. -

I think the 10 inches off his waist did more for him. I don't watch CSI Miasma, so I haven't seen his new cut; as well, they won't show season four in Taiwan until spring.
Speaking of CSI, George Eads' season 5 (6?) close cropped cut worked well on him. He has a good shaped head.
