The hairloss thing has made me think about my genetics a lot more than I did before, and I've come to realize that I look A LOT like my mother. So which parent do you guys take after, your mother or your father? I think genetics are interesting, so please spare me from ridicule and answer if you want to

. I'm also pretty convinced that most men look more like their mothers and vice versa; girls look more like their fathers. I don't know if there's any truth to that, it's just a conclusion of day to day observations...

I look more like my dad did. He was tall, but I'm shorter like my mom's side of the family, and I got the MPB that all the men on her side have.

Mom's personality, Dad's temper (unfortunately, but am working like the devil to counteract it.) and my Mom's Dad's hair thinning.

Yeah my mother's always saying that I got my dad's bad temper aswell... and the balding gene is definitely from her dad although she won't admit it.

I'd have to say that I take after my mother and her side of the family. In fact, I have an uncle that everyone always told me that I looked like. As for my 2 boys, the youngest takes after me in his physical appearance and his personality. The older definitly takes after his mother. I call him my "high maintenance child".

everything except look wise - my dad. my dad has a full head of hair, wheras i have a receeding hairline, i will lose all hair on top by the time im 45. i still wonder where i got the receeding hairline from,
look wise - my mother's father, my maternal grandfather started getting a receding hairline in his late 20's, he had no hair on the top of his head by the time he was 45, i started recedding slowly in my late 20's, iam 31, and ive recedded a little further than when i started receeding 4 years ago. i started shaving my head in 2004 when i noticed that i was receeding.

Scientist say that all human childeren look like the father its the only way we had to know who the father is, of course we now have labs to tell us that but thats what they say.
So I guess I look like my father.
