I've had a couple of Sheba Inu's over the years. great pocket sized dogs, and smart with a capitol S.
Last year I had to find new homes for my Boxers. Brothers, from the same litter. I recommend a male and a female if you have to have two, a pair of males will be fighting constant dominance issues. But they are great dogs all around.
In the last 10 years I have had and had to find new homes for 4 dogs, 2 cats and 1 snake (6 ft. red tailed Boa).
Anyway, I currently have no pets as my lifestyle wouldn't be fair to them, but I look forward to a stablization that would allow for a small dog. Probably a pound rescue mutt.
We have an awesome dog, Miko. Supposedly he's 1/2 sheltie, 1/2 dauchsund, though most think he's a minitaure Lab (if there is such a thing). He's probably 18" tall at the shoulders and about 28 lbs. He's now about 20 mos. old, very house trained, and loves running, playing, and chillin with Team Schro. For doing no research and being a "rescue project" (totally neglected litter), we couldn't have gotten a better dog.
Oh, we also have two stupid, irritating, hair ball producing, shedding, loud, needy, and worthless cats that came with the marriage. Can't wait for the cats to go to the big litter box in the sky.
We have a 9 year old dog named Duke. He is half beagle, half German Shepard (try to picture that one).

I'm thinking the German was the mother...

My father-in-law has a half German Shepherd, half Golden Retriever. It basically has the body of a German Shepard with the coat of a Retriever. Beautiful dog!
Found this old post, figured id add to it

This is my "son" Bear:
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v132/kollegekreed/Bear/bear_3.jpgHe is a 4 year old greyhound...just passed triple digits and weighs in at 101 pounds. We "Rescued" him from a shelter after he retired from racing in December 06. Greyhounds are just the calmest sweetest pups
Greyhounds are great dogs. At 101 pounds, Bear must be a big boy!!

Hey KK-
I used to have three greyhounds. They've all passed over the last couple of years. I had to put my old boy Lager down in February of 2007. He had bone cancer in his rear leg. i sure miss that old boy. My son was just crying about him tonight because we watched some old home movies that had Lager in them.
I actuall did greyhound rescue work for about 7 years or so. These are great dogs. That's a huge greyhound you have.
I have a mini Daschund and a Llhaso Apso
So after I had to put my olr greyhound, Lager, down last year, we decided to get some smaller dogs because we camp a lot and greyhounds are a bit big for that.
So we wound up with two Shih Tzus, Quincy and Ryleigh. They are great little dogs and are tough as nails. We actually call the eight pound female "Killer" because she is the watch dog (big bark but absolutely no bite!).
Back in November I went a got a pup for "myself". A Boston terrier that I named Cooper. A very cool little dog.
I have a Beagle that is all of a year old...
and a shar-pei mix that is basically my wifes shadow.
