ok its done and I love it, but how do u get the sides to be as close as the top. like so u won't tell where the bald spot was at? I did go against the grain.

Congrats bro!
To get the sides depends on how your hair grows. For me, I'm fine by going front to back and then back to front along the sides. I know some of the other guys have to shave from the bottom up to get the closest shave along the sides.

Congrats, S.A. !!!
Yeah, for me, I need to shave from the ears to the top to get the sides close.
When you think you're finished shaving, take your hand and rub in various directions all over your noggin (I do it 1/2 at a time). When you feel them rough spots, hit'm with the razor.

I usually use a handled razor like the Fusion and shave from the ears to the top to get the closest shave on the sides otherwise I still have rough spots.
Way to go for shaving slick mate

Way to go slick, congratulatons. The other bros have it right...take the tricky spots with your preferred handled model razor, Mach III for me gets those sides and areas around the ear.

Good going slick!, it does feel great, right?, I am able to do passes from front to back and back to front around the ears with my Headblade. You will too as you get better with time.
I finish up with any regular hand razor, usually my Atra or Sensor, at the sink when I shave my face.
Just make sure to bend those ears!, lol.

One thing to bear in mind is that, if you have dark hair (as many of us do), you will probably always have a bit of a shadow that will look different than the bald spot. Shaving as close as you can certainly minimizes this effect, but will never entirely eradicate it. Also tanning the head, either with lotion or the sun helps as well.
