Yep, I had to give up coffee because of reflux too.  :-\

I found out that most of the name brand coffees are made with the cheaper beans (ie foldgers, maxwell house, etc).  Much more acidic, caused severe heart burn with me.  Switched to better coffees, like the kind you buy and either grind at home, or grind in the store, and this stopped my heart burn in the mornings.

I've been wanting to try a French Press, my daughter tells me it's the best made coffee she's ever had.

COFFEE ... the elixir of the gods!!!

Correctamundo!  I grind my beans every morning.  Just picked up a new pot to match our other small electrics... toaster and mixer... so far, so good.

Picked it up for $78
How is that Hopey / Changey thing working for you?

Has anyone ever noticed that when you go into a perfume/cologne store, There is usually a container of coffee beans to chew on.

Evidentley this softens your orofractors(sense of smell) and allows you to smell the fragrance better.

I had a headache all day today pretty bad one at that. I thought it may have been the booze from the night before but they tend to fizzle by lunchtime.

Got worse as the day went on and then I thought to myself, hold on I havent had a coffee for most of yesterday and all of today.  Once I got home I fired up the kettle and made myself one.

Within 2 minutes the headache went. So I am addicted to caffiene... and naked women.   ::)

Makes sense. Excederin's Migraine formula's main ingredient is Caffiene. First signs of a headache I guzzle a cup of joe or a dew.

No more than six cups a day for me...

I never saw anything like that in any perfume store I ever went.
Must be a local custom...
You all live in such exotic countries! ::)

Hey dude, let me tell YOU sumthin! I love my coffe, drink 1 cup before work & school, and sometimes 2 extra cups during the day. I love coffe by itself, but I love it even more with chocolate and whipped cream (Cafe Mocha), and sometimes if I feel rich, I will go to Country Style, I will get a nice, frothy expresso! But my #1 place for my coffe is none other than Tim Hortons. If you live in the states, well then you miss out on da Timmies. HAHA! I think there is only like 5 Tim hortons out in the states. I have gone to the states with my dad, and let me tell you, Dunkin Doughnut's Coffe SUCKS!!!!!!

Is Tim Horton's more comparable to Krispy Kreme or Dunkin' Do'nuts?

I would have to say neither. Their coffe is superior to all other Coffe companies. It is unique, just ask my dad. If I even think of buying a coffe somewhere else my dad calls me a traitor lol. He never buys a coffe anywhere but there, and if he runs out of coffe change he goes nuts! Their coffe is addictive! He even has a mug that will hold a whole pot of their delicious coffe. In all my trips to the states with my dad, I have never had a coffe that would compare to the smooth taste of Tim Hortons Coffe.

I think Starbucks would be the nearest US equivalent, wouldn't it?  (Watch now all the Canadians are going to get mad at me for comparing Tim Horton's to Starbucks     >:D)
