Should I sly/buzz?

Hello Sly guys,
I've lurked here for a while and thought I'd ask your opinion

Backstory: - I've been receding at the temples for a few year now and it's just reached about an NW3, which I'm struggling to style. Both my maternal uncles are sly and look quite good, one is an NW7 and the other an NW3 (both in their 40's) so it's likely that I'll either maintain or lose more.
I'm currently at the shortest length I've ever been and it feels pretty good, I love the lack of maintenance.
So, could I pull off the buzz? Then move it to a full on sly?
(Sorry for the awful photo quality)

Your receding does not look bad to me in the photos, but I do not have a real clear view of your temples. The haircut you have now looks good. So I think you have some time left. But I do suggest, when you are ready, just go sly.

Looks like youre pretty much about 75% buzzed already. Might as well go for it. But as slybeard mentioned, you look pretty good as you are. So just do whatever feels right for you.

I would keep it buzzed. Likely at some point you will shave it.

You're almost there, so if you want to give it a try... I say go for it.

no, use a little Butch Wax or strong pomade on the front and go for a military style flattop with bald fade back and sides

You wouldn't be asking the question if you didn't want to try a shaved head, so I say go for the smooth dome. Bottom line is that if you don't like it, in 4 weeks it will grow back. But be prepared, there is no other feeling like a shaved smooth bald head, not to mention I think you will look great.

Thank you all, I appreciate you all taking the time to reply.
I've bought myself a set of clippers, so will take the plunge and buzz it myself next time I need a haircut - then possibly look at going full on sly.
Again, much appreciated

Next time you need a haircut? Here's what will happen. You won't be able to stop thinking about it, and it will consume way to much of your thoughts. When you finally fire up the clippers and make that first cut, you will have a huge feeling of relief. Once you take a razor to your head, you won't believe how clean and cool a smooth head feels.
Also, your barber won't be too happy, losing another customer!

In my opinion, you are almost there. I would just buzz the rest off and get your head nice and smoothly shaved. You will love it. Go for it.....Go all the way to a super, cool head shave.
