I just spent 3 days at the Back to the 50's car show in Minnesota. 12,000+ pre 1964 hotrods and about 100,000 spectators each day. Shaved heads were everywhere. Seemed about 1 of every 4 men of all ages was sly. That's just the guys without hats on. I think I liked it better when a shaved head was somewhat unique and edgy. Seems to be a long term trend.
Have to agree , I liked it better when shaving was less popular. Feel like I'm just falling in with the newest fad.
Kind of the same thing for beards now - they are everywhere. But I did neither for the "fad" of it.
same here in Oz although now it is winter the number of shaved heads seems to have dropped but beards are prevalent across all ages. Mine were definitely not due to any fad. I couldn't care less about fads, just what I like.
I first shaved my head in 1980. It was very rare then.
Where I live, a lot of people work in the financial services industry. Head shaving seemed to become popular about ten years ago as a way for young guys to hide their MPB. Now a shaved head around here is pretty common - to the point where a bald head no longer stands out.
