Another Andis Foil Shaver user here . . . you can get it at Amazon.com for 50 something bucks. I
predominately shave with safety razors but on the very rare occasions that I do not the Andis Foil Shaver is my choice. Does it shave like a safety razor? Heck no!!! But it gives a SAS (socially acceptable shave). Here is a great review on it.

I use it when in a hurry in the early am. Works very well.

I used to use a cheap remington rotary face shaver on my head until I started with blade a few months ago. The electric will get pulled out if I need to look nicer quick or for travel if I don't feel like packing blade and cream. It cost me about $20 new several years ago and works great. Not near as a close as a blade but 0 irritation and close enough for a quick shave. If it ever dies I'll just get another cheap one like it

Just had my first andis profoil lithium shave. Very impressed with the shave I got however it took the barber a good amount of time to mow down my head hair (BBC) then ended up with just as bad bumps on my neck the next day as I would from a poorly executed cartridge shave. It for sure was not the barber/technique, the andis just did not work for my needs the way it does for most. Not to say you would have the same result but it was worth sharing. This has become the tool for most barbers so really make a few phones calls around, see who has one, make an appointment, and give us a review! Yes you will spend half of the cost of the tool on the barber visit however it's better then buying it and hating it plus the barbershop is just a treat we all need to indulge in occasionally

considering picking one of those up myself. Looking for something that can almost go as close as a blade.
Is it decently fast to use? seems to be one of the ones that gets decently high reviews online but obviously most use ti for face shaving
edit : that was meant to be a reply/quote of jeff29708 post. For some reason the quote mechanic is buggy on this forum

Remington 3 head rotary wet/dry ... but only to clean up the lawnmower lines I might leave behind from the inexpensive 2 blade disposable.
I use the Remington wet with shave cream/soap combo.
