I have some natural shaving oil that I originally purchased to shave my face and neck:
https://tinyurl.com/jgjgoa5Does anyone have experience using shaving oil with a Philips electric shaver? Mine is the HQ8150 model (three rotary blades) and I am wondering if I can use this oil with it when I shave my head i.e. apply the oil to my scalp and then shave it
I don't see anything in the product manual about
not using oil with this shaver, all the same, I'd be very grateful for any advice
Thanks!
I use a small amount with my Phillips foil shaver and it's fine. To be honest I don't feel it makes a great deal of difference.
If it's a wet or dry shaver, sure. Just be sure to clean it well after every shave.
If you're shaving dry use Williams Lectric Shave. If you're going to shave in the shower with a waterproof electric razor, you can use the Shave Oil with plenty of water.
X1000 on brade's post about Williams lectric shave. It smells and feels great and cleans out of your shaver easily. It does leave a bit of a... I dont know, slickness(?) behind but when I used to electric rotary shave my head daily I would do it before my shower so I would always rinse it off. Reddog is correct in that you can use some oil with plenty of water if you have an electric wet shaver but you'll spend so much time cleaning out your clogged shaver from the oil that I would advise against it. I still keep a bottle of lectric shave and my trusty old low end cheap Remington electric rotary shaver around for days where I am in an insane rush to leave he house but still need to look ok. It's rare but I feel comfortable knowing its there just in case.
Sometimes I use my Remington electric foil shaver, and I use Afta preshave lotion. I also like the Afta after shave conditioner, works and smells good. They are only $2 at Wal-Mart.
