I'm 17, have a big forehead and a receding hairline. Wonder if I should go bald.

Hi everyone! I'm a 17 year old guy from the Netherlands, and ever since my birth I've always had a big forehead, but starting from age 14/15, my hairline also starts to receding and my hair thinning. I always get my hair cut short with longer length on top and buzzed on the sides. (Haven't gone to the hairdresser in some time in the pictures so my hair is not always this long.) But now the idea got to me to shave my head bald, or at least buzz all of it really short, but I'm still very uncertain about doing it, especially since I'm 17. Also uncertain of my head shape, don't know if its like, symmetric?. I would love to hear your opinions on this! Thanks in advance! Here are the photo's: -Sammerzy

It may seem counter-intuitive but cutting your hair short, or even going smooth sly, actually de-emphasizes the size of the forehead.

Certainly, at least in my opinion, the pile of hair on the top emphasizes the forehead and is doing you no favors.

I'd go with a short buzz and see how you like that.

Honestly I think your head and face shape is great. Don't hesitate to go for it.

I agree with him 100%.  In addition, once the hair is gone people's gaze will no longer go to your high forehead - instead it will go straight to your eyes - and you have those beautiful Dutch Baby Blues!

Go for it and stop worrying about your hair - forever!

Welcome! I think that your coverage is still good enough that you don't have to go sly right now if you don't want to. But I would definitely trim the top a little as was said in the posts above. Good luck!

Im in agreement with the previous posters here, either buzz it short, or just go for the gold and razor it all off, you definitely will look great either way.

Going to the hairdresser tomorrow to get it buzzed really short! Thanks to all of you for the input!
