• Not sure if this is an actual reaction to being bald, but in the supermarket around an hour ago, a totally random stranger came up to me and said 'wow I sure wish my head was like that'. Surprised, I said 'thanks', and he said 'no problem papi' (which kind of took the shine off things) and he walked away

  The compliments from people you don't know sometimes are the best because you know they did not feel some sort of obligation to say anything nice.

• I guess the papi/daddy thing just caught me off guard but it was good to get a compliment. I had only just shaved my head around 30 minutes earlier, so it was as smooth as smooth can be.

• I get the "papi" thing a lot where I work. It's just a term of endearment. And, being in Hawaii, I also sometimes hear locals address me as uncle.

  Tyler they're Oakley sunglasses. I don't know the model number etc, but they have a clear uncolored frame and mirrored lenses
