For the first few weeks, expect to be SURPRISED when you catch a glimpse of yourself in a mirror or other reflection. It IS a different person that you don't know.
BUT ... after those first few weeks it will feel totally normal. It is SO worth the experience of getting there.
Hello Kaygee:
All I can tell you is that when I shaved my head it took a few weeks before it began to be my "new normal". For the first couple of weeks I would catch a glimpse of myself and be really shocked and dismayed. But that is what the 30 day rule is for. It taked US more time to adjust than it does for other people!
I kept mine shaved for 90 days and really got to like it. In order to keep peace in the family I have allowed a small "fringe" to grow back in the front (it gives my family the "illusion" that I still have some hair). But my days are numbered - and now I know that I will be very happy when I go smooth again!
Give yourself a break. You look damn good sly with the light beard. Damn Good! I am jealous!
My perception is the reverse: The first photo is the generic guy losing his hair. The hair loss really jumps out and defines that guy. The second photo is of a good-looking, well-groomed guy. The bald head does not define him.
