Danny, can't even tell you how many times I screwed up my beard/goatee trying to trim it. I'm miserable at it. When I am clean shaven it is usually the result of a major shaving mistake. But yours still looks really good!

Some of us who are bearded... prefer... not bearded "Clean Shaven" infers the bearded are "unclean".

I miss my beard lol im growing it out again im in the scruffy phase and god i hate that phase but as we know i know what to expect now so its the waiting game again.

It's normal to experience that within the first several days of growing. Give it a few weeks. I was in the same position 9 months ago as you. I stuck with the beard and haven't turned back. -

Itching can last from a few days to a few weeks. Some guys get relief with beard oil or balm.

As others have said here, stick with it. The itching will pass. Don't shave your beard at all for the first month. Then after that, you can decide on a style you like. -

Having been largely clean shaven for years I'd forgotten how red my facial hair grows out at first. Couple of white hairs as well though (all part of turning 40 in 3 months I guess!). -

Yes, beard oil is good. Also... using a boars bristle brush to help with the ingrown hairs can help as well.

I managed a week, then shaved because of the itchiness.
Then I managed two weeks and shaved for the same reason.
Tomorrow is two weeks again and this time I've used beard oil after shaving and haven't really had any noticeable itch. Hoping to stick with it this time as I've never grown a beard in my life!
