  Aside from what Paul astutely noted, I ain't interested in working inside a prison or correctional facility 24/7, 50 wks a year.

• Well the polygraph examiner said I did well.   
  
  It doesn't really feel like a success because yer tellin' them all kinds of sh** you'd rather they didn't know and you wished you didn't have to drag out of the skeleton closet......like a 3-hour strip search.
  
  So I'm taking his word for it and saying, "Success"   
  
  Next step, if all goes well, will be a conditional offer of employment, "conditioned" on favorable results on the Psych test and physical examination.

  The poly examiner DID say, as he was walking me out, to keep runnin' and workin' out to get ready for the academy

• Found out that my polygraph report has not yet been submitted.  So I can't accurately say at this point that I officially "PASSED."   But the fact that my examiner said that I did "well" is a good thing.
  
  Got a call on Friday that they were commencing my background investigation (B.I.)
  
  This seems like a so-far-so-good indication. 
  
  Seems like they wouldn't enlist the resources and man-hours necessary to do a B.I. unless they were thus far satisfied with my progress.
  
  This is by no means a slam dunk, folks.  Especially with a large agency like Jefferson County.  So....FAR from being cocky about all this...I'm HUMBLED by each successful stage.
  
  I have appreciated all yer well-wishes, positive thoughts....and most of all PRAYERS !
