Hello, Moderators--there seem to be a couple of spammers that have slipped thru. This is not a complaint--I know that these things happen periodically, but they are still annoying at best and potentially harmful at worst. Perhaps institute, as suggested, a CAPTCHA test? Anyway, just wanted to bring it to your attention. Thanks, Earl.

Earl, I split your post and created a new topic to avoid the intended topic from going off track. Yes we have been getting some requests for membership from people who are spammers trying to create accounts and we usually reject their requests for approval...However this is not 100% foolproof, but we immediately ban those spammers who do get through and delete their posts. Us moderators don't have the power to stop them by blocking their IP's as that may ban an active member who is not a spammer. That said, if you see a post/topic that you think is offensive or spam, feel free to report it, and one of us will jump on it and take the necessary actions. Thanks again!

Thanks for being so quick to delete the couple of obvious spammers recently.
Just like graffiti I can't understand the jollies such people get out of ruining other people's enjoyment. -

Guys.... harry explained it well.
We get literally dozens and dozens of these things a day. Recent months have been especially bad. We try to catch them all but some sneak thru occasionally.
As Harry said... if you see something that got thru send the Mods a notice immediately and we'll get rid of it.

I've never been able to figure out what spammers are doing and hope to accomplish. Their posts all seem like gibberish to me.
