Um, I think since the Year One?? Look at all the jokes about old men with their pants pulled up to their chins, and driving on the interstate at 20 MPH to get to the early-bird special.
Go ask your kids if they think you are old. If they say no, they are lying.
I can remember when my parents were in their 40s and thinking that they were getting pretty old.
I can remember being about 7 or 8 years old and my grandmother mentioned something about one of her neighbors, and I can remember saying, "She's OLD." She was a couple of years younger than my grandmother, who responded, "Old? She's only 60!" And I said, "Yeah, that's OLD." To which my grandmother said, "Then you must really think I'm old." To which I said, "Yes" and that was the end of that conversation.
