So I posted awhile back how I wanted a buzz cut. Went to do it today a totally bailed out on my plan and just did the normal. Im kicking myself for not just doing it. This seems like the stupidest but its the hardest hurdle to get over. Its spring going into summer this should be super easy. IDK why Im having the hardest time with this.

Only you can make the decision to go sly, and I'm sure the time will come when you will.
But as I said it's your decision and it has to feel right, but once you do I'm sure you will be glad you did.
After all it is only hair, and from the look of your photo it would not take long to grow back again.

Come on dude! You've already decided that you want to do it, so just do it! I bet you have some hair clippers somewhere, just throw on a number 1 guard or better yet no guard and run those suckers down the center of your head. If I met you, Id probably just shave it all off for you, bald LOL no buzz cut or sissy stuff just straight up bald

G'Day Classykid,
Don't stress about it mate, the time wasn't right.
You have to be totally comfortable with what your doing, no one else, just you.
As NoPony said, it has to feel right.
I am sure one you do it, you will wonder what the fuss was all about. Till then just enjoy life mate.

Its just getting over the first step, the first swipe across the head I guess. I was in the chair about ready to tell her what I wanted but then bailed at the last second.

Next time go to a real mans barbershop, no Salons, have an old fashioned Barber buzz you down. Google barbers that do military haircuts in your town and hop in the chair and tell him you want it all off. Thats all it takes.

If you want to do it you will, it is a big step though. Just wait until the time right is for you and you are sure it's what you really want to do.

Are you losing hair? Your hair looks good right now. I'm gonna throw my weight into the other corner and say that I can see no reason to shave your head. You appear to have a great head of hair and even if you are balding like me, shaving can be a huge pain. I only shaved my head a couple times when I had a full head of hair a few years ago and it was a massive pain.
That said, if you really WANT to shave your head, that's one thing. But from what I can see, there's no reason to take the plunge unless you're 100% committed to shaving your head.

It is tough to make the decision to go sly to begin with but once you take the first step and get a proper buzz cut to start you will wonder what all the fuss was about. Once you have had your head buzzed for a while it is only one more step to becoming a cool, sly guy. My advice is next time your haircut is due go to a real barber and ask for a military buzz cut & enjoy the "trip", mate.
All the best.
(P.s: looking at your photo, you would definitely suit a short buzz-cut & shaved head.)

There's obviously a reason, a feeling that you are increasingly become aware of. If you want to stay true to yourself, it cannot be ignored. Sly is waiting but you don't have to leap, just take the first step. To begin turn that fear into excitement. Have trust in that feeling, go the buzz cut, take that step

I wouldn't call it 'fear' I guess its more just doubting myself thinking Ill look stupid or something.

Classy Kid, I'm guessing part of what is eating at you (and a lot of people) is that, we tend to fear that if we follow through with something that we've been itching to do, we may not like the end result and may be stuck with it permanently....While that may be the case with say, a tattoo or certain piercings, in this case, it is something that will eventually return back to its former state, meaning your hair. What I'm trying to say is that, if you go for the buzz and discover it is something that you don't want, you do have the option (unlike most of us here) to grow it back to where you are now (which also looks good BTW). Ultimately, the worst thing to do is to do this because of peer pressure/egging on from others. The time to do this is when you are fully ready to do this, and be ready to handle the result. Take your time and keep us posted. Good luck!
