As a professional musician, I learned quickly that being sly on stage (in Phoenix especially) means sweat breaking through the pitiful damn that is my eyebrows to pool in my eyes. Since I have a highly acidic chemistry due to a current sedantary lifestyle, I HAVE to wear headgear on the stage. Currently I just wear ballcaps, standard bandanas, or Under Armour skullcaps.
I found this site today.
http://www.sweatvac.com/The products look pretty good, I was curious if any of you gentlemen or ladies have any experience with the skullcaps, stubbys, or bandanas Sweatvac offers. I am probably going to drop a good $50-60 on the first because my band is ramping up for concert season.
Additionally, I was wondering if anyone had suggestions to lower one's acid levels in their bodies so the sweat doesn't burn. Thanks all.
They look interesting. I wish they made one that was flexfit or fitted that didn't have the hole in the back. I've found that's a great place to get a funny tan if you wear those hats in the sun.
+1 on that Tyler, I can't stand hats with the holes in the back. I am going to go ahead an purchase some and I'll leave my feedback on the forum after putting the product through its paces.
You can absolutely lower the acid levels in your body, its all in what you eat. Basically you just reduce the acidic food intake and increase alkaline foods. It will positively affect/effect you in many positive ways (you'll probably shed a few pounds). Here are a couple book references to get you started. Look them up on Amazon.
The pH Balance Diet: Restore Your Acid-Alkaline Levels to Eliminate Toxins and Lose Weight by Susan Le Quesne
The Ultimate pH Solution: Balance Your Body Chemistry to Prevent Disease and Lose Weight by Michelle Schoffro Cook
Good luck

Thanks for the information CMARMOR!
I will look into these books.
Glad to know I'm not the only one who gets eyes full of sweat on stage.
