I thought I should say hello. I lurked around this site about a year ago and finally got the courage to go sly last Christmas. I'll be dropping in regularly.

Thanks for the welcome. Here's a little more about my story. My hair has been thinning for years. Every time I got a haircut, it seemed my bald spot was bigger, at least to me. I was thinking about going sly, but couldn't get the courage to do it. Last Christmas, I was off from work or about ten days, so I decided I had an opportunity. The day after Christmas, my wife and her sisters hit the mall for shopping. I headed to the bathroom and buzzed down. I intended to stop at a 1, but when I got there, decided to take the guard off. At that point, I thought I gotta shave and I did.
When my wife got back, I was waiting by the tree with my newly shiny head. She screamed "what did you do?" She wasn't really happy about it, but by New Years, she seemed pretty cool about it.
Going back to work as a sly guy was pretty easy. I had a few comments about the Grinch stealing my hair, but that was it. Anyway, I'm glad I did it and am glad to be part of SBG now.

Welcome back after a long absence.
Other than the relief of not having to worry about receding hair and an increasing bald spot ... has there been any particular part of the Sly Experience which you enjoy or were surprised about?

Thanks for the welcome. I'll post a picture as soon as I figure out how to.
Frontier Guy, I was surprised at the reaction I got from a couple people. They were concerned that I was sick. When I told them I just decided to go sly, they looked at me like I was sick!
