I think it be cool.. this way you can actually talk ( chat ) with someone in real time..
also only members can see the chat box. and visitors that comes to see the site once they have an account created they can chat along..

I think its an awesome idea!
I know it can be done through vbulletin, im sure it can be done with SMF.

that would be pretty cool.
if its not possible there are various programs that a chat would be able to be created on such as IRC.
I don't know much about IRC but I do know some of my friends are always on it so it cant be that bad. -

Ok...call me Donnie Downer, but I think it's not that good of an idea....
the flow is pretty good now , responses can be pretty quick...a different area to shoot the sh*t would fragment the group, you wouldn't know where to respond, plus it would add to everyones time here, just checking things out , taking away time from insightful responses to each other...
this site is FAR from being broke and the flow between us all is great....,but it's Tyler's site and he's done an awesome job so far, so if he says cool, it's COOL.
I for one need to FINALLY get some work done here at work and with a chat room I might as well stay at home bloggin' all day! Geez!

I've never really done the chat rooms. But I think we have a good thing right now.

Cool some great response. And I agree with all..
I was just going throught the site and saw Site suggestions.. so I thought I would throw it in..
but if you guys feel it could be disruptive.. no swet..
One I know of is visubox.. it's incorporate on the front page of the site and you can talk with others..
So I don't want to stir the pot here.. keep in mind I'm a new member and want to be a member that all of you will respond with.. so. sorry if I stired the pot..

I've never done the chat room thing either.
But to Andre's point, what we have here is pretty cool with a (mostly) great group of people. Would a chat room muck it up? -
