  Ok, can you please let me know your opinions on my headshape and whether i'd look ok bald. I'm 16 years old and my hairline has receded and thinned noticably. I know that i will continue to lose hair and want to know whether to go bald. From the front and back I don't see any problem with my headshape, however I feel it looks terrible from the sides. The back of my head dips in from the top before going outwards. People often tell me i have a massive or ugly head.

• No !  Think it would look good.  I know it would feel better.  And it always grows back.  If you don't like it.

• A bald head looks good on most guys. You'd be no exception.
  
  Just list hearing your voice on a recording, most people cringe when they hear themselves. It does not sound like you hear yourself.
  
  So with the shape of your head. Others see your head from THEIR perspective and a photo shows you that.  You see your head differently in a photo than when perceived in a mirror.  You'll look fine with a bald head, even though you don't think so at this point.  Others will probably accept it faster than you do.  And give it the 30 day rule. You'll have a chance to get used to it yourself.  For as much hair as you do have left, if you don't like it bald after 30 days, you could let it grow back, but I bet you won't want to do that. You'll like it too much to stop shaving your head.

• I say give it a try, you could at least cut your hair with a #2 or #3 to give yourself a better idea of your head's shape.  Then if you don't like it, it will grow back.  If you do like it, take it down with no guard and then mow it off.  Good luck with your decision.

  You can either buzz it off all at once, or do as Zach said and progressively shorten it. Either way, the new look will be a surprise to folks so don't let yourself get rattled with whatever comments you hear. You'll look just great, and you're going to feel so good about being "in charge" of your life.
  
  After all, it is only hair.

  I have a weird shaped head
  looks like I have a spine on the top of it

    dont let any thoughts like oh my head looks weird......

  we all look weird in some way who cares...
  
  dont ever have the fear of being who you are.
  hair, no hair, is you shape a bit different than everyone elses,
   no big deal.

• Thanks a lot everyone You've given me a lot of confidence and I feel more secure about the way I look. My head shape may be different but It shouldn't matter, without it I wouldn't be me. It probably just looks worse to me than it does to other people. I'll definately be giving it a go.

• 16 is a great age to experiment things (with some exceptions of course) so go ahead and try a different haircut, maybe sly

  I don't know, I reckon a dodecahedron shaped head would be pretty cool... it is certainly a conversation point!

  The big problem would be shaving the vertices without slicing them off!
