I am sitting outside on the deck enjoying the fine fall weather as dusk settles in. As I'm sitting here checking the boards, I got the strangest feeling I was being watched. I looked up and a deer was standing at the bottom of the deck stairs, just staring at me. We were about 15 feet apart. I don't know which one of us was more startled!
As a note, the deer around here are pretty bold. They eat everything in sight and seem to be accustomed to us pesky humans.
Well ; Since your profile is blank , I`m gonna have to assume you live in Yugoslavia .

Holy Smokes ! You have deer in Yugoslavia .
That deer obviously knows it's not deer season yet. Wait till deer season starts and you will never see him again

I've spent too much time here today catching up after a week's absence. When I read your post I thought it said,
"As a note, the deer around here are pretty BALD."

I live about 25 miles from mid-town Manhattan and my town is sandwiched between a park to the south and a nature preserve to the north. Hunting isn't permitted in either of those, except on a rare occasion when the deer population gets too big. As a result, the only natural predator for deer around here is the automobile!
FrontierGuy, the deer are not bald, but my wife and I did see an albino deer last night. If hunting was permitted, that unfortunate creature would go first because he can't hide with that coloring.
