I have been a serial lurker for a few weeks, and decided to finally sign up on the forum.
I started going bald in college, did the combover thing back in the 80's, kept a short buzz for about the last ten years, and took the plunge about a year ago.
I guess the buzzcut softened the shock, because going "sly" wasn't really that big a change. I got very few reactions when I did it.
The one big change I have noticed is that the "bald jokes" (really put-downs and snide comments, if you ask me...) have almost completely stopped.
This place looks like it could be fun... -

The jokes have stopped because of the confidence your Slyness shows to everyone. The bad combovers probably deserved some jokes.

Hi Zzaapp....you finally found your way home! Welcome to being Sly. Funny...my Dad ditched his combover too with a buzzcut and the jokes stopped for him too. Combovers just make you a target.
