At one point my pattern was similar. You really won't be happy until you shave it. But I have to warn you, once you shave it, you won't look back. Besides, most people won't notice, or will wonder why you didn't do it sooner, because it looks "cleaner" to the eye. I say go for it.

Start next with a no guard buzz. You will look great. You have a perfect head and eyes for sly bald. Then try a razor, the smooth feel is fantastic.

Seriously, it does look good. Put a razor to it. Your concerns about balding will be gone at that point. First, you will free yourself of that issue, it becomes moot. You will change people's perceptions from he is losing his hair to someone that chooses to shave their head. However most importantly, you will feel great! -
