Good Morning fellow bald brothers,
I just joined this morning and have been shaving my head since new year's eve. My wife was diagnosed with ovarian cancer back in Oct. 2011, they did surgery and got all of it out. But the doctor wanted her to do 6 rounds of chemo. So of course after about the second round of chemo her hair started falling out. So I decided that I would shave my head as a show of support and a united front that we would fight this terrible disease together. Well since then she has been declared CANCER FREE, and is doing awesome. Her hair has grown back, but I keep shaving everyday.........mainly because she loves it.

Look forward meeting all you great folks on here....Al

Welcome Al, and congratulations on your wife's recovery.
That's a great introduction and a compelling reason to shave your head. Continuing the "look" is easy, as you know.
What was the most surprising thing you discovered after you shaved your head?
And, why "musicman" - we've got lots of musical folks here at SBG, I'll bet you've got some kindred spirits.
Again, welcome.

Welcome, Al! Nice intro, and congrats to your wife on her recovery...I pray for her continued good health; that was a very nice move on your part to show support. The fact that she likes you being sly is a plus too!

Welcome...very cool picture. I know what y'all have gone through and can empathize. My daughter had cancer and went through chemo when she was 15 years old and in her first year of high school. She was very brave and wouldn't wear a wig or even a bandana, even while she ran for class election. While the family supported her she kept us in good spirits with her courage...Best wishes and luck to you.
