Well, In 24 hours I will be shaving my head. Going bald and decided to go for broke. But I must admit I'm freaking out about it. Going on vacation on saturday so I can give myself some time to get used to it before I freak out everyone I work with, family and friends. I think the main thing I'm thinking about is the tanline. Getting through that without looking like a total dork. Wish me luck!!! AHHHHH!

You won't need luck -- just a tad of confidence. Once you've done the deed, you'll likely wonder why you waited so long.
Don't worry about any lines -- that'll sort itself out with a little time.

You will need some time to get used to it, but no one should freak out when they see you. The sly look is much more common these days.

Welcome to SGB, Church. While you are on vacation is a perfect time to tan the dome, right? Good luck!

Welcome Church. Hope you'll take some "before" pictures which will help you appreciate the "after" that much more.
People around you will freak only if your gestures and attitude indicate you are freaked out. Don't be - it's going to be a great experience and you will be so relieved once you are settled into Sly Living.
Where you going on vacation, and for how long? In other words ... when should we expect a return visit from you stating, "Wow, I should have done this years ago."

Welcome to the club, church. Most people probably won't even notice a tanline. And it won't take long for it to fade away. Just relax and enjoy the freedom.

Way to go! Take your time on the first few shaves. Welcome. You'll always remember your first head shave, so savor it.
I agree, you'll wonder why you waited so long.

By the end of your first full week of shaving you'll stop freaking out and see there was no reason to freak out in the first place.

Hmm, it's been over a week now and no more posts from the guy. I recently went through the transition and I definitely have to say that the anxiety before I did it were way worse than anything afterwards. As soon as I did it I had no more anxiety and I have not regretted my decision once in the 8 weeks since I did it. If you project confidence in your appearance, no one will ever think to question you. You'll get some surprised looks the first time someone sees you afterwards, but in my experience most of them say they like it.
