Just dont, whatever you do!, grow it long, plait it and put beads in it!
Oh... I swear I didn't have the thought to do that the other night... probably a good thing we don't have any beads in the house!
F77, that bear is coming along awesomely, you can certainly trim up those sides a bit if you think it is starting to get a bit scraggly (I think it is still fine for now). I can't wait to see the finished product, you look great sly and bearded -

Bald with a beard. Excellent combination, if I must say so myself.
Never dreamed that I would have a beard. Then spent a summer in Alaska (back in the 70's). Probably 80% of the men had beards, whether they looked good or not. Figured it was a safe place to 'experiment'. I grew a beard. It took all summer to look like much of anything, but at the end of the summer, I 'came home' with facial hair.
Had to shave it off for college. They had an anti-beard policy (too rebellious at the time). But at the next opportunity, the beard came back and it's been there as a permanent fixture since then.
Wife has never seen me without a beard (except in a few photos). When we were dating, she would say, "I've never been attracted to men with facial hair". Then she married me!
Oh, how we change.

Thanks beardman and mrzed....this is the best move I have made...I think. The positive stuff felt here is helping to deflect the negative comments I always tend to hear!

SO I realised it was a few months since I started this thread....so the beard has progressed from how it was in this photo back in August to the latest avatar....I am also committed to growing it a bit more, hopefully this was a wise move....
