Here's one I couldn't find with the SEARCH button.
For the guys (and gals:) who work out which do you think is better, to shave BEFORE you W.O. or AFTER?
I'm on the fence about it.
BEFORE= nice and smooth, easier to wipe sweat, BUT pores open and sweating.
AFTER= a little rougher to swipe head, BUT pores open from W.O. and possibly a better shave due to that
and cold water chilled Witch Hazel after means closed pores.
I'm leaning more towards AFTER but is there an aspect I'm not seeing?
What are the thoughts of other of the choice between the two? Even just personal preference for whatever reason.

I shave in the morning, before leaving for work. I work out after I get home from work. No conflict.

If I did do them close together, I'd prefer to shave afterwards, in the cool-down shower. Then you get nice and clean, AND shaven for the rest of the day. Aw yeah.
I prefer to go to the gym early, 5a, then come home and shower and scrape the grape. If I can't get to the gym, I find I don't get as long lasting smoothness from my shave of the melon. And, I also recently found out--and tried it several times--something else to make it even more long lasting smooth. I live in South Louisiana, and in the summer it is really hot, 24 hours a day. Right now, unless we get rains at night or early in the morning it can be 85 degrees F at 5a and about 85-95% humidity. So the gym leaves the a/c on all night and when we get in as they open it can be cool to frankly cold, particularly in the area upstairs with the elliptical machines--where there are lots of fans to increase the feeling of cool. Well, I decided to put on a thin knit beanie before going up to do the aerobic part of my workout--at the end, after weights. At first I didn't know what it was but twelve hours later still pretty much baby butt smooth. So I did some days with the beanie and some without and I'm now convinced that the beanie helps leach excess moisture out of the skin to let the blade get even closer. My scalp gets pretty sweaty under the beanie, but the beanie absorbs the excess. And the ice cube rub feels all that much better because of it.
Hmmmm...good...good....
I was leaning to the AFTER also for both of the reasons ya'll stated.
I also tend to workout in the a.m., but I have a home gym now, so my area isn't a freezer..lol...
I know what you mean though. When I went to a gym early it did seem a good bit chillier in the early a.m.
Yep, SaintC. I'm in Tampa Fl.
So I definitely know what you mean about high temps and humidity, but I think the guys up in the Appalachian
areas are trying to get our awards for high TEMPs this year.
