Last night's SOTD was soothing and BBS. I slept good that night.
Razor: Merkur 37C
Blade: Astra SP
Soap: Mystic Water Soap (Sandalwood)
Brush: Semogue 610
Dessert: Ice cube rub, refrigerated WH, refrigerated Osage Rub
The Astra SP blades are amazing. Plus you can get a 100 pack for less than $10.50 at Amazon.com. Try buying a 100 pack of Fusion or Mach 3 blades. The MW Sandalwood has a clean, refreshing scent.

Wonderful shave last night.
A couple of days ago I visited an old Japanese barber friend and his wife at their shop. Watching his wife wielding the Feather Artist club (folding style) with such skill was great, and she inspired me to start using mine again. So I dug out my criminally underused Kai Captain folding, threw in a Kai mild blade, whipped up a nice lather with the 1305 and Mike's Lemongrass and Eucalyptus soap and went to town.
The result was a fantastically smooth, nick-free shave.
Afterwards I splashed on some witch hazel and followed up with Vitos Karite after-shave balm. My skin felt great afterwards!
If anyone is thinking about straight razors without all the honing and stropping upkeep, these disposable blade straights are great. The CJB from Korea is a great entry level model (non-folding) and they show up on amazon and eBay from time to time. Otherwise they can be picked up pretty easily on badger and blade or other forums.
Happy shaving SBGers!
@ Bluebriz: Brian... thanks for sharing your SOTD. I look forward to seeing and hearing more of your SOTD posts. I hope more of our SBG brothers can chime in.

had a great shave a couple of nights ago, using my new Edwin Jagger De89bl and sandalwood shaving products cream, only a couple of nicks in the usual place, my neck, but no burn. I can honestly say it was the best shave of my life!

Sounds great Geeman!
It's been a while since my DE89 even saw daylight, but they're great razors!
Who is the cream made by? How about your brush; are you using badger, boar, horse, synthetic?

Sounds great Mel!
I've used the Kai Captain for 6 or 7 days now, and I'm loving it.
My Feather AC SS and CJB have been sold and I bought a Feather RG to replace them. First shave coming up in a couple of hours!
Maybe I'll remember to post some pics on here later!
I've only used one of the TOBS cream/soaps (croaps), which was lemon/lime if I remember correctly, but it was at least as good as anything I've used since then!
Love TOBS. I have Avacado and Jermyn Street
