About a month ago - as you can see from the profile pic.
Think I'm going to grow the beard for a few more weeks yet.
my dad had a full beard at 20 and started going bald same age as me, and almost every male in my family has more facial hair than I do, except for one cousin in his early 30's (has a full head of hair though) I can almost grow a chin strap after 3 weeks of not shaving, but no mustache or goatee hair. I'm still in the awkward grunge stage...

Yes, please do. Looks GREAT so far. It can only get better from here.

Thanks, Cropduster.
Everyone likes the beard. From the barber who first shaped it, to my neighbour this morning.
Even I like it.
Now learning to factor the beard into eating and cleaning my teeth. It's starting to get in the way - in an interesting way.
I can see what you mean about feeling naked without a beard.

If your beard is full/long enough, you
will make a flavor saver out of it one time or another.
Almost unavoidable with some foods. Hardest part for me was learning to drink out of glasses without having half of the beverage drip off the 'stache.

Oh so true, and dealing with built in dental floss!

Been wondering about this. Guess I will find out in the next week or two. Finding frothy beer leaving its mark.

Yes, it does and will. If it's good beer, you won't mind saving that flavor for later.

No kidding. There's NO mistaking what it is when that happens.
Topic question: I started balding at the at around the age of eighteen, but couldn't grow much of anything facial hair wise until I was around twenty-three. Officially went bald in the beginning of the year, and in terms of facial hair, I grew full beard at the age of thirty (my profile picture is a little on the old side, as being I shaved it off for a few months, and am growing it back.)
Mr. Jules, luzca bien. In my opinion, the first beard is usually leaves one feeling the most cautious and yet is the most exciting time experiencing a transformation.
