According to the NY Post (http://blogs.nypost.com/sports/mets/archives/2007/05/buzz_cuts.html), 21 of the 25 players on the team have shaved their head.Quote
Twenty-one out of the 25 Mets now have buzzed heads or shaved heads, with Carlos Beltran serving as the main barber in the clubhouse during pregame as most of the players on the club buzzed their heads. Other people affiliated with the team -- hitting coach Rick Down, trainer Ray Ramirez, assistant trainer Mike Herbst, even PR man Jay Honcho -- also shaved their locks.

Now that they are sly, maybe it will help their play....
ehh...they prob. need more than that....
Lets see how many of those that shaved actually stay shaved through the whole season...my bet: all!

The team BUZZED their heads...in my book, stubble isn't bald!
To me a SLY guy is slick, smooth and doesn't have a single hair on his sly head!....
But , hey how can I agrue with the guy that "started the sly"...so Tyler says they're sly.........ok...
but I'm not buying it till I see their domes totally bald and shinin'!

Please don't tell me that we have to start rooting for a New York team.
By the way, a cool shaved baseball player is Kevin Mench with the Brewers. I couldn't find a pic of him without a hat... sorry.

I agree with Andre. When I say my face is shaved it doesn't mean I have a three day growth of stubble. -

I never said they're Sly, just that they shaved their heads (albeit with clippers). If they were the Dodgers, it might be a different story. -

I am all for people shaving their heads, but I can't get behind this, simply because it's the Mets.
I'm with you on that one but I'm biased cuz I'm a BRAVES fan
