Hey everyone, I'm new to the board but I will be shaving my head bald may 11 2012 for the fourth time in 4 years....
Long story short...I noticed my hairline starting to reciede when I was 16 and finally around 19 I shaved it...however it didn't last long and I grew my hair back..I just found it difficult to work for me and lots of friends made alot of fun of it and it didn't help my confidence in being sly.
For the next few years I tried to go sly again but for numerous reaasons I would grow my hair back.
Ill be 23 may 29th and honestly I'm sick of having my hair cut and grown in certain ways to hide my receiding hairline. I think this time around I'll like the bald head with the help from the fact that I grew out my mustache and goatee and also got more in shape...I'm hoping for the best and just wanted to tell all of you guys that I've been lurking on this site for some time now and u guys really do help with the whole bald thing and I'm anxious to be sly again!
Only reason I am waiting to shave is because I will be moving to Phoenix next month and I rather do it after my last day at work and college here in Vegas and I also feel like it will be a great transition to already be sly when i move to Phoenix when no one out there knows me, so everyone will know me as bald headed from the get go

It doesn't matter if they know you or not, that should not be what you base shaving your dome on.
Don't wait until May eleventh, just get it done for yourself now. Live your life and feel the freedom!

I want to xnewyawka but I rather skip the dumb comments from people at my job and plus I don't have all my shaving supplies yet lol....I use alot of the art of shaving products and we all know they are more on the expensive side

I didn't manage to wait till when I thought I would, but I think it's a good idea for your confidence, then it's the only way they'll know you.

I hope so! I'll post before and after pics...most people think I'm crazy cuz I have a decent amount of hair but I grew it out a bit more so it kind of hides my hairline...at least it was haha and the fact that I shave my "widows peak" which isn't really a widows peak just part of my receiding hairline..I'm half black half white so I can't really grow "long" hair that would do a comb over ha -

Trying to hide it isn't cool lol.... Been there done that! Being sly just feels right to me, kinda pissed tbh that it took me so long to do it! I hope it all goes well for you too... -
