If you could go to any time period and see one band perform live at their best, who would you go see?
For me, I'm going to have to go with Led Zeppelin, with Queen a close 2nd.

Already did it. Sly & The Family Stone at the Garden in 1973.
Earth, Wind & Fire was the opening act and I had seats in the second row. Best concert I will ever see.

I think that I would like to see Blood, Sweat and Tears in the time of their second album. The one with Spinning Wheel on it.

I saw the Stones in 1989 at Shea Stadium. But seeing the Beatles in the 60's would have been the ultimate.

Toss up between The Allman Brothers Band and Pink Floyd. Maybe Phish circa 1997.

Dire Straits.
I saw Mark Knopfler a couple of years ago and he was AWESOME. I would have loved to have seen the whole band together.

Johnny Winter And in their prime when they had Rick Derringer alternating lead guitar with Johnny Winter.
I would also like to see Ten Years After around the time they played at Woodstock.

I'd have to say New Edition from the mid 1980's (with Bobby Brown)...and no this doesn't have anything to do with the recent passing of Whitney Houston...
