For me, the beard comments and compliments just keep flowing my way. Lost count.
Only this lunchtime, a colleague with a excellent goatee which I really admire, turned to me and exclaimed "Great beard !". Feel like I've just been promoted to the 'inner circle.'
So into the beard that I keep forgetting I'm completely bald !!!

Mr Jules you've now got a really fine beard to be proud of. It really does complement your bald head so well.

Thank you. Frankly, I've been delighted with the results. Latest pic is beard 3 weeks in.
Four months ago, I was another regular middle age guy with thin grey hair and a clean shaven face. I look so different now.

When out and about, definitely think the bald & beard look is getting glances from other people. Either they think it's striking or they think I'm lunatic !

LOL.

You might be right. Funny how changing your appearance might change people's view of you.

Let me explain my opinion from a different perspective. I teach elementary P.E. with students ages 5-9 years old. I always get comments on my bald head but rarely about my beard. Kids always ask me if I buff or shine my head. I always tell them I use turtle wax.

Ran into someone I hadn't seen in a long time. She went on and on about my eyes. Didn't even mention my shaved head. Just asked me if my eyes were always so beautiful and what I had done to enhance them. Nothing but shave my head.

Well today, my manger's manger's manager (pretty high up in the company) walked by my desk and gave my beard a random rub.
Not sure what to make of that one !

Think I will !
But Mr Zed, nobody comments amount my sly looks anymore. Sometimes, even I forget I'm completely bald. So upset.

Mr. Jules, I wouldn't be too upset about your beard being noticed than your bald head (both do look well on you) It's just human nature to fawn over something that's new....My cousin had two kids 16 months apart. Everyone was fawning over kid 1 until kid 2 came along, and then kid 1 became an afterthought (not to the parents of course). Think about this...There's many ways to wear a beard, but only one way to wear sly!
