I was going to wait until Saturday morning, but the felt ready to go sly, so with tools in hand ... and on head, I'm in.
Conair Clipper, buzz to minimum length.
Schick Hydro 5 (fresh blade)
Head Slick
Shave Secret
Hot Shower
I told my wife, "I love you". Her first reaction was "It's creapy". Guess that's why we have 30 days.
I like it!

Way to go Mr Z!
I was wondering how you could wait, glad to hear you just went for it. We all knew you would like it. Settle in for the thirty days now, and enjoy the smoothness.

Hey Zed,
Hang in there. If you like it, your wife (hopefully) will learn to respect your choice. Five years after I started shaving my head, my wife still doesn't dig the look on me. However, she knows the reasons why I do it, and respects my choice.
Enjoy!

You get bonus points for doing it early...wonder what the reaction on the forum would have been had you not followed through on Saturday

Interesting comments so far this morning at work. (multiples on all of these comments).
Nice tie, Mr. Z (I'm wearing a yellow bow tie on a black shirt).
Nice glasses, Mr. Z (I have new glasses as of last week).
Looks like you had a cold milk shake this morning and it pulled your hair in. (he's a joker).
Lots of 'no reactions'. Just walk by.

For all my statements/posts/comments about Jan 21 ... how could I back down?
3.5 hours after the shave ... I really like this. It's not cold like I expected. Guess my hair was short enough before that there is not that much difference, but I have not stood out in the cold without a hat.
It's incredibly smooth. Hard to keep my hands off my head.

Congrats on taking the leap - and doing it early. Surprised at your wife's reaction, but give her time to come around. The smoothness feels great, doesn't it?

My sister in law e-mailed and asked if I had shaved my head ( she saw a photo from yesterday which was a short buzz and I could see where she might think that).
So when I told her that Yes, it did ... she responded that she thought it was really cool and VERY STYLISH these days! I asked her to 'work' on my wife while they visit next week! LOL.
(Oh, and I sent her a current picture).
Have a few more comments today about the bow tie (rather than being bald). I think that is super funny. Like 8 comments on the tie and one about the hair.
