It has taken me about 1.5 months to get to the bald stage...but I got there!
About a month-and-a-half ago my order of Wahl's balding clippers arrived. I also purchased various guards. The first guard I used left about 1/2" of hair. Slowly I kept using shorter guards until I was using the clippers without any guard. Early this week I started using an electric razor. This morning I used a non-electric razor. So...my hair is "hairstory" 
Most of my adult life my hair has been on the long side...rarely short and certainly not bald! I'm surprised every time I go by a mirror! I'm loving not taking care of my hair. I'm in VT (where it's cold right now) and it's great to put on a hat without creating a hair disaster. Plus the feel is great!
There have been a few surprises though...I never knew that I have a rather conspicuous bump on the top of my head near my crown...that was a bit of a disappointment. Reminds me of some of the dinosaurs in Jurassic Park!
I also wonder whether I'm too old for this look? I'm 61 and obviously younger guys can pull it off. This is my first post but I uploaded a profile picture so am assuming that it will be visible. It was taken last Sunday (before "going all the way"). I'm aware that as I've gotten older I most of the time don't care as much as I used to what other people think. Just wondering if there other guys around my age on these forums.
I'm looking forward to exploring all of the topics posted here...looks like there's a LOT of information!! -

hey, welcome to SBGs, you look young for 61, and yes, there are alot of elder bald guys.
This is not a crime, we'll all get to that age sooner or later.
ow, and, congratz for having the guts to do it, you don't seem like you were balding, so it's like BBC

hey bg: u definitely don't look like you're in your 70s. hope i look good when i get your age. u look 20 years younger.
