Struggling or not with going sly

I find it interesting that there are guys here who have a full head of hair and they just jump at the chance to shave it bald. Then there are balding guys that really struggle with shaving what's left.
Any comments?

One is choice and it can be changed, the other is fate and genetics and there's no choice for the guy.

For some change is good. And for some going from one extreme to the other is even gooder.

I think for some of the balding guys it is hard because in a way, it's the end of a era. You may say that for every ending, there is a beginning but for some people it may be that they have been used to having hair for as far as they remember and shaving it off mostly means that it is gone and they will live life as a bald man.
With the guys who have no thinning or baldness. It will be much be easier because in a week after shaving, if they do not like the look, they can grow it out again back to their old look with hair.

Hey mrzed. I must have missed the change but your current photo shows you have now gone fully sly. Correct?
Looks good.

I have a full head of dark hair but ever since adolescence, I have wanted to be bald. So here I am, bald and beaming with pride. Just the way I have always wanted.

I think it's what has been said already, people with a full head of hair jump at the chance because, it's just a style, but the guys who are losing their hold on to it, because for them it's a lifestyle

I love the SLY look, but I had no choice. Honestly, it was like...I couldn't wait to get out of the Navy to grow it long, like when I went in. But as the years went by, I realized it...with a little prompting from BaldRob...that it was better to scrape off what was left, since it had become so receded.

Thanks Roger. I appreciate the comment. This photo was from this past summer. The angle and light make me look sly. It's really buzz no-guard.
Jan 21 is my date for a true sly experience. Wife will be out of town for 10 days. Buddy (sly) Bob will assist/coach. He's been urging me to shave bald for some time now. Just as a matter of principle.

Thanks MrZed! You'll love the feeling, I know how compelling it feels once you've buzzed.

SlyFive ... I"m feeling compelled. Between you guys here on SBG, and several friends who shave bald encouraging me ... I'm ready to give it a try.

Will look forward to the photo after the big shave. Don't let your wife deter you! even if she is going to be away. I know you will enjoy the smooth feeling.
