hey jdw: the mach3 is a good razor. however.... the fun part of head shaving is experimenting on different razors and shave cream or gel. i say try it out and if it works 4 ya than stick with it.
also.... may i add 2 research the "head shaving section" of the forum under "your shave routine", "what razor you use", and "shaving cream or gel". those sections of the forum give priceless info. let us know how it goes. and keep us posted 2 your road 2 slyness.
WARHAWK
I have used those items, but now have other preferences. Make sure you've used the clippers w/o the any tapering attachments and clipped as short as possible. Wash the head with hot water and soap a couple times and then rub on the gel. I would shave with the grain until you get the hang of it. Take your time and use care and you shouldn't hurt yourself. When you get your confidence you can try shaving against the grain. After you can rinse off with cold water, dry and rub your head with witch hazel and then some aloe vera. Search around this site and you'll find many ways and opinions these men and women have about their successes shaving their headz. Best of luck.
I'm using a Gillette blue 3, and Gillette Series foam since the very beginning!
It works extremly well for me, I never tried something else, though, and I don't tend to, yet.
