• Hi guys
  
  My names James, from Exeter in Devon UK. Been lurking around on here for a few months and have taken the plunge and joined. I have been thinning at the front for about 3 years and its now at the point where its really noticeable.
  
  Been thinking about going sly for some time now, and after speaking to my partner have set the date to do the deed! Got three weeks off work at the beginning of October and heading off to Portugal. So as of the 1st  October 2011 I will be going sly and i cant wait! Thought I would do it while on holiday to let me adjust to my new sly look. Wish me luck and I will be posting a pic soon!

  Ooh, very nice I like Portugal from Lisbon upwards, and also Madeira. The bit in the middle of the two I'm not keen on
  
  Make sure you take some scones with you because you might well get homesick if you dont
  
  And summer is definitely over. We had a hail storm here today in glorious Oxfordshire, and I actually wore a scarf today because it was so brass monkeys outside.

  Good luck but I don't think you'll need it. Since you already say you "can't wait", I'm sure you're gonna love it. That's exactly how I was. Thinning/receding and really wanted to do it. I was very nervous until I got to the point of no return and I have absolutely loved it for 32 days now.
  
  If you're OCD like many of us, the only thing you won't like is when it starts to grow back and it's not so smooth. I do miss my long sideburns  (when I don't grow the full beard) but that's about it. I really loved those sideburns!!!!!
