that is my photo from 2 years back, before i knew i was going bald. it came as a shock as there is no history of balding in my family. 2 years later i am almost spotting a chrome dome as hair has visibly thinned. i am 22, so its getting a bit of time to get used. its more like i have aged 10 years in a period of 2 years. some people are shocked, maybe i,l get used to it.
on a more positive note it has made me work harder so people can overlook my baldness in relation to my age. but anyway thats me and i am new to the forum

Welcome! People also look on thinning hair as a sign of being older - but this way you escape the hassle of trying to hide that problem. What reactions do you get from people you are meeting for the first time? It's usually those who knew us 'before' who are shocked. Choosing to shave your head is also a bold decision, and people respect that even if they wouldn't do it themselves.

new people its ok. being sly is also working for me because those i know who havent noticed dont easily catch on. but those who see me just b4 my haircut they mention. i am getting used to people joking about it. i also have the problem of sensitive skin, so its hard to use a shaver. have to use the hair clipper. any suggestions.

I started balding at 17 so it came as a bit of a shocker to me and nothing you want to experience as a teenager. I'm 19 now, and lately I've felt that I look better bald than I would with hair. It's hard at first especially since everyone knows you with hair and shaving your hair off is gonna be the biggest shocker to them. Most people at first will tell you to grow your hair back or you look better with hair. This is just because they feel more "secure" with you with hair, but eventually it'll grow on them and they won't care. Besides shaving your head should be about what makes you feel good not everyone else. You become alot more proud of being bald when you meet new people and they either act like your bald head is no big deal or they give you compliments on it. Back when I first started shaving my head I used be so concerned that I was the "bald" kid because I associated bald with bad. Now I make it more of my style I know think of myself as that cool bad kid. An when you accept your baldness and really start to like the way you look, that's when all of the negativity stops. When you feel good about yourself other people sense that and they want to be around you more. An you also start to find out there's alot of people out there that actually like the look. Well I hope all goes good, and I'll see ya around the boards!

Tapi, you're a really good looking kid. You can no doubt rock the smooth head. Like everyone says, be proud, confident and own it like you mean it. In time, people will have a hard time remembering you with hair. Be true to yourself young man! By the way..the Conair CleanHead electric headshaver will get you pretty darn close to ultimate smoothness if you have trouble with razor sensitivity. Best wishes, Tapi!

You honestly have nothing to worry about. As others have said, you've got a decent head shape, face, etc - you're luckier than most!
I started balding at about 19/20, and waited way too long to shave mine - You at least have taken the most positive step.

Man, you look great! Walking down the street I would have assumed you were bald by choice and not given it another thought because it suits you so well. Hold your head high bald brother! I actually think you're lucky, I'd like my mpb to speed up so i have to shave less
