Well, I made my 'exit' from the Hairlosstalk forums official, with a post that might anger their admin and mods, but I had to say it.
If you happen to read it, trust me, I won't bring that sort of attitude here, as I did there in my Hairlosstalk Farewell Address

. I'm a really nice person. But some of those guys over there need a wake up call. And a headblade

I want to thank my brother for 'saving' me from that cesspool of insecurity. But I'll leave it up to him to try to 'convert' more of those people to come over here to the good side.
I wonder, how many people here have made the transition from a regular at a hair loss forum to SBG?
Seriously though, consider yourself one lucky guy....your brother saved you from too many precious lost years...
you're too young not to have confidence...you're going to surprise yourself, how much much more you will gain once you go slick and truly SLY....
Just wait..... my soon to be balded brutha!
We're just glad that your brother helped you to "see the light" or SLY.
WOOHOO!!!
Wow man, that was a serious post! Though, after reading that whole thread and many topics on that forum I can understand your frustration.

So yeah, please don't think of me as a wild maniac as that post may portray me as. That was 8-9 months of emotional frustration put into paragraph form, not my real personality (I'm actually a quiet, introverted guy). I just don't want others to fall into the same trap.
I'm glad I'm not running for any political office, ha!

Don't worry bro, you're very cool in my book!
if anyone ever has ANY doubts about their decision to shave their head....just browse the hairlosstalk forum for a few minutes and you'll KNOW you did the RIGHT thing.....i found that forum a couple nights ago and have been reading the posts there...omg..what a bunch of whiny kids ..theres quite a few posts on there about guys talking about suicide because they are losing their hair.......it was traumatic for me also when i started losing mine but never did i think of suicide or used drugs to fight nature.......they can run from it and try to grow back a couple hairs with all those drugs but the day they stop using it...nature will catch right back up with them....i'm amazed that these guys are content to use these drugs that make them lose their libido and the possibility of making them sterile...all for a few hairs...

It is traumatic when you first realize the hair is starting to go. But I don't understand why people delude themselves into thinking they can stop it from happening.
It's not the bald head that makes people look bad -- it's what they do with the remaining hair (leaving it too long on the fringe or combing it over) that makes people look bad. Luckily, more people are starting to "get it" these days, but I suppose there will always be a segment of the population that never gets it.
exactly if their was a permanant solution to baldness ..do you think donald trump would be sporting a combover? or thousands of filthy rich BALD millionares? no way those guys would be sporting thick heads of hair if it was possible.
Well HC I gotta tell you that you look great with a sly pate!
Dude, what are you going to do with all the babes that'll be following you around?

They'll have to get in line like everybody else
Not if I steal them first.

Welcome, Cowboy. You are to be congratulated, not only for looking good sly but also for abandoning--even if with rancor--the hopeless mentality of the hairlosstalk forum. As others have observed, hair loss can be traumatic but it is not of the same magnitude as battling cancer or having to bury one's child. There is something fundamentally wrong with a culture that produces guys who actually contemplate suicide because Mother Nature is doing her usual thing. Perhaps one reason for this monomania about going bald is that American boys know their granddads, and even fathers, less well than they used to. My surrogate father, a retired bishop, is as bald as a bean, but his smile and lively eyes make him the handsomest role model in the world to me. My wife feels the same way, and if he ever sported a rug (which he wouldn't!) we'd pull it off. Glad you spared yourself years of misery. All best, Professor Melon

Don't count on it, blondie

Obviously, the only solution here is for us to ram our bald heads together like fighting bucks.
