Well I had my first P90X workout tonight. I started with the Lean Program.... suggested to me by our own BaldRob.
Tonight was the "Core Synergistics" workout.... I prefer to call it the "Holy sh*t" workout because that's what I kept thinking.
I made it thru the workout but at about 40 minutes I took a break for a few minutes. I did at least some of each exercise but not all reps of every exercise. I did complete most of the exercises although my form was surely not good on many. The trainer states over and over that form will come later... the idea is to do as much as you possibly can.
Not a bad start for a 50 year old guy that hasn't worked out in three years.
Rob warned me that the first two weeks or so would be killer. We'll see how long it takes me to crawl out of bed in the AM!
ggod luck man! i have faith in your old ass! lol
I completed the third workout last night.... arms and shoulders. I loved this workout. When it was over.... I was done!
I have a general overall mild muscle soreness. Muscles are sore that haven't been sore in years....... but man do I feel good.
I changed my diet to a much better diet about 2 weeks before I started the program. I'm down 9.5 pounds already. I want to get 20 pounds more off by May 1st.
My ultimate goal is 30 pounds more... which will mean about 4-5 inches off my waist.
And we can only assume your new avatar will look something like this . . . .
I'm currently doing the Insanity wrkous also have the p90x workouts...hard work but can be fun!
Decided to finally get off my butt and get back after it. Did CardioX since it has a good variaty from many of the workouts. I wanted to be mindful of my shoulder after flipping my snowmobile a month ago and landing on said shoulder. I think it was RazorX that commented about how you could tell if you missed a day, try missing 4 months. Only one way to get back after it - just do it.
