Hello Everyone,
My name is Ken and I'm glad to be here. While I'm not completely bald, happen to look great with my hair shaved off or a very close burr; I find however that after 3-4 days it needs to be cleaned up. To date, I've been going to my barber and am considering styling my own hair.
I am looking for a clipper cut between a short buzz cut and a clipper shave. Any suggestions on the appropriate tools and techniques.
Your advice would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Ken

Welcome to SBGs!!!

Going that close...why not scrape the dome completely with a HeadBlade?

I am a proud owner of a headblade and sort of like it. The problem is I'm not happy with using it around the ears. I'm still deciding how smooth I want to be; in other words trying to find the ultimate look that complements me the best. I know my hair is going to be trimmed super close and will probably need to be cleaned up twice a week.

You'll most likely be happy with the Conair Cleanhead. I've got one and use it for a quick touch up and when a blade just isn't convenient. For a relatively cheap piece of equipment it does a real nice job.
As some other guys have pointed out it isn't the best built electric razor in the world but, given its price, it's not a hardship if it croaks after a decent period of use. I'm happy with mine.

Sailor,
Appreciate you sharing your experiences with the Conair Cleanhead and am looking forward to it arriving in the near future. In the short term, I razor shaved my head this morning and will be in desperate need of a trim when the cleanhead arrives

. I still need to determine, how bald I want my regular style to be. I do know that there are better ways to spend my money than at the barbers.

so post a clearpic and yo'll get plenty of response as to how long to keep it. as for me, I'm serioulsy jonesing for a blade shave after 48 hours. generally it's daily but on occasion I'll let it go to let my scalp have a break. love the sly na dshould have done it ages ago.

I'm new myself and have been ising the Cleanhead. It works great and it's easy to use.
I was afraid of cutting myself with a razor.

Shaved my head again this morning. It's getting to be fun

.
Think I will stick with it for the time being and use the clean head for quick touch ups when I want to look sharp in the evening.
